Job Description

Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Small, but growing, physician owned ASC, specializing in Gastroenterology (endoscopy & colonoscopy) is looking for a full time nurse, that will be a good fit for our center. Wonderful yet professional working environment. Must be a team player in a fast paced environment, working in all areas of endoscopy nursing. Must be professional, well spoken and able to assess patient's clinical status and emotional status. Documentation skills a must and must be a quick learner on EMR. Will be involved with the admission process, the procedural process and the PACU process including the discharge of patients. Gastroenterology experience is preferable however willing to train the right candidate. ACLS/BLS required.

Duties:
- Perform specialized nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures
- Assist with patient needs during procedures
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized discharge plans
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as EPIC and G gastro

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.

- Ideal candidate has at least 1-2 years of endoscopy experience
- Critical care and or telemetry experience preferable
- Experience with discharge planning and patient education in a healthcare setting
