To achieve this, we’re hiring a Pricing & Sourcing Automation Engineer to build high-leverage internal tools - starting with a marketplace scraping engine and a real-time message parsing system that fuels quoting, pricing, and acquisition decisions. If you’re a strong Python developer with experience in web scraping, automation, and real-time data processing - and you’re excited about solving high-value problems in a luxury space - this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Build a Marketplace Pricing Intelligence Engine

• Scrape floor prices across marketplaces like Chrono24 and eBay
• Filter listings by year, condition, seller trust score, and region
• Track price trends per SKU over time
• Detect price deltas and surface buying or repricing opportunities
• Apply business rules to calculate our ideal list price and margin

Develop a Messaging-Based Listing Parser

• Parse product listings shared via real-time messaging platforms (e.g., WhatsApp Web)
• Extract structured data: reference numbers, years, conditions, prices, and currencies
• Normalize shorthand formats like “42k usd” or “€38,000”
• Organize results into a searchable, filterable internal tool
• Help salespeople quote faster and buyers source smarter

Ship Lightweight Internal Dashboards

• Build simple UIs for internal team use (Streamlit, Flask, or React)
• Enable filtering by ref number, price, condition, seller, etc.
• Optional: add Slack/email alerts for specific triggers (e.g., watch under $X appears)

Contribute to Data Strategy & Automation Roadmap

• Work closely with business leadership to define what data matters •
• Suggest ways to improve sourcing, pricing, quoting speed, and margin using automation
• Optionally contribute to future tools like predictive pricing or SEO-driven listing generators

What You Bring to the Table

• 3+ years experience in Python development, especially web scraping, data parsing, and automation
• Strong skills with pandas, re, Playwright, Selenium, or similar scraping tools
• Ability to clean and normalize messy real-world data (especially pricing/currency formats)
• Experience building simple dashboards for internal users (Streamlit, Flask, React, or similar)
• Comfortable turning unstructured inputs (chat logs, shorthand listings) into clean, searchable outputs
• Clear logic and decision-making: able to implement rule-based business filters
• Bonus: Experience parsing data from messaging platforms like WhatsApp Web, Slack, Telegram
• Bonus: Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or quoting tools
• Bonus: Familiarity with luxury watches or the luxury goods space as a whole
