Role Description

We are seeking a full-time  Sales Associate to join our Malibu team. As a key member of our sales floor, you will be the face of Fred Segal Home, welcoming clients, guiding them through our curated collections, and delivering a luxury-level customer experience. You’ll help maintain a beautifully merchandised floor, ensure product availability, process transactions with accuracy, and contribute to achieving store sales goals. This is an on-site position that requires a passion for design, an eye for detail, and a genuine ability to connect with customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and build relationships with clients to create a memorable shopping experience
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and product guidance tailored to client needs
• Maintain an organized, visually compelling sales floor that reflects brand standards
• Process transactions with accuracy and efficiency, including cash handling
• Support the team in driving sales, meeting targets, and achieving store goals
• Assist with stock management, replenishment, and back-of-house organization
• Collaborate with team members to uphold the store’s high standard of presentation and service

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills with a luxury client approach
• Proven sales ability and confidence with upselling and cross-selling
• Experience in cash handling and POS systems
• Understanding of visual merchandising principles and product presentation
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
• Team-oriented mindset with excellent time management skills
• Prior retail or home furnishings experience preferred; passion for design a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required
